The Space
You will feel easily at home in this carefully renovated historical cave house which was literally excavated and restored from ruins into a comfortable family friendly home.
The smooth white organic curves of the interior envelop you like a cool cocoon. You enter the house in the living and dining room, a perfect place for relaxing on the sofa or enjoying a family meal. Further into the cave, passing through the living room, is a second relaxing lounge room. The sofa converts into two comfortable single beds. The house is child friendly, with Smart TV’s in both the living room and the lounge.
A powder room with shower is accessed from the living room and serves as a second bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped down to the last detail, with everything you need to prepare meals just like at home.
The main bathroom is spacious and truly unique. Crafted by hand and pigmented with locally sourced plaster, it has a luxurious fell with a walk-in rain shower and a marble sink that was carved by a local artisan.
Finally, deep under the layers of volcanic stone, you reach the master bedroom. Here you will have the ultimate sleep experience on a super king sized 4-layer organic Coco-Mat ‘sleep-on-nature’bed-mattress. Every part has been designed with the aim of creating ideal sleeping conditions for the whole body, head to toe.
At the terrace above the house you will find the perfect spot to take in the bright blue sea and sky, or the colours of sunset. Or why not perch on the cozy bench on the lower terrace, o be closer to the soothing earth tones of the caldera cliffs, during that morning coffee time.
Alexi’s Place is perfect for a couple retreat,a family getaway or a trip with a group of friends. The cave house can accommodate up to 5 guests with the addition of the single sofa bed in the front living room.
The famous neighbourhood has numerous mini-markets with fresh local produce, wine shops, inspirational gift stores, and amenities such as ATM, post office, rentals agencies, and a bus and taxi station all within walking distance. Access to the popular beaches is accessible via private car or public bus. A wide variety of restaurants and cafes are available just a hop, skip and jump away from the house, featuring a range of Greek traditional foods to international haute cuisine by world renowned chefs.
